State-of-the-art training equipment in an upscale ambience is the dream of all spinning fans. In the Amsterdam studio Rocycle this vision becomes reality with the latest training bikes, course rooms and a futuristic ambience. For the interior equipment from the counter to the changing rooms, materials from HI-Macs were used, as it is a highly resistant and easy to maintain solid surface material.
The counter is the heart of our equipment in the Rocycle Cycling Studio. The first impression counts for most enthusiasts looking for a new training facility. With this appearance, the old studio image of the understaffed multifunctional counter has had its day. Instead, the Rocycling counter presents itself in a silver reflecting high-tech look and is the central point of entry and consultation. The back wall of the entrance area sets the stage for the studio’s branding and motto and, together with the lettering on the shop windows, complements a modern, cool image like an industrial gallery.
Also in the entrance area of the cycling studio is our new juice bar counter and a sales area for training clothes and accessories such as drinking bottles. The juice bar, made of a the solid surface material Hi-Macs, offers fresh drinks made of high-quality ingredients during the training sessions. This quality is also represented by the clear, white look of the new counter with cash register system. The counter made of white Hi-Macs is durable and sustainably processed. Hi-Macs combines the optical qualities of marble or granite with the easy processing of synthetic materials. The result is a counter that not only looks great but is also resistant to abrasion.
The materials of HI-Macs are increasingly used in the interior. HI-Macs offers the design of exciting stone structures as a highly durable composite material. For example, we use HI-Macs materials in the bathroom area of the studio. Here, the HI-Macs mineral material is used around the large washbasin. As with the juice bar, HI-Macs can be processed into workpieces that are more robust than ceramic, for example.
A futuristic and minimalist white design was chosen for the locker rooms. The lockers can be locked with numerical codes and offer security during training in the course rooms, which are also designed in white. The resilient functional floor also visually emphasizes the technical equipment and makes it clear that training with Rocycle is anything but comfortable. This is where athletes in Amsterdam go to their limits. We have emphasized this look by retaining the industrial tubes.
With our interior design Rocycling emphasizes its motto of a tight, disciplined workout that leaves no room for comfort during the time of cycling courses. However, the bright design of the rooms also indicates to the participants that there is a high level of cleanliness and hygiene. Corian and HI-Mac materials are ideal for cleaning and are therefore suitable for many locations around sports and indoor activities.
