We have answered this question for the Al Mahdi practice in Uedem with bright rooms for a clinical and yet pleasant flair.
The challenge of designing a dental practice from the office of the head physician to the waiting area must be viewed from two sides. On the one hand, we have to take into account that for many customers a visit to the dentist is associated with unpleasant memories of past appointments. They want to feel safe and in good hands. At the same time, there is a need for staff who want to work in a bright environment and with comfortable seating. The modern practice equipment must also be easy to clean. That is why we have chosen vegan imitation leather, HPL and lacquered furniture for the materials.
The new furnishings for Al Mahdi’s dental practice include a modern reception desk, filing cabinets for administration, a bright, inviting waiting room with benches and a checkroom, as well as the modern practice furnishings for Dr. Al Mahdi’s office with a head physician’s desk made of HPL and a mobile container to have forms and information quickly at hand.
In the reception area of the practice, patients are greeted by a cube illuminated by LED and the wide, screened counter. Here, behind a white lacquered body with several rows of LEDs, there are two workstations that offer plenty of room for movement. The team reaches the first front of the filing cabinets behind them effortlessly from the workstation. By using the entire reception island as a large file archive, papers can be organized even more clearly without reflecting an office look that would visually disturb the modern practice equipment. Instead, the reception area has a calming yet future-oriented medical effect, just like the furnishings for the dental practice as a harmonious overall picture.
We did not rely on typical seating in the office rooms, but integrated additional upholstered furniture into the dental practice furnishings. Spacious filing cabinets provide space for technical literature and illustrative models, a modern screen gives the doctor the opportunity to demonstrate procedures in detail. The bright sitting area becomes the center of the consultation in the practice. Patients can discuss their procedures here at eye level and reduce the stress that can arise from a visit to the dental expert.
In the waiting areas, treatment rooms and around the reception area, we have used the same vegan imitation leather, which contrasts with the veneer of some selected shelves and cabinets in a clearly defined manner. Here, natural textures and the clear white of the lacquered counters and cabinets are as close together as when working with state-of-the-art equipment on people.
The furnishings for the Al Mahdi dental practice are timeless and easy to maintain. It shows that modern practice furnishings can combine the comfort of comfortable upholstered furniture with the minimalist look of modern technology without appearing too futuristic. A bright ambience is created, inviting you to linger and have confidence in the medical staff.
